Mr. Bui Thanh Lam is a veteran name in the world of finance – banking, capital market, real estate in Vietnam. With a standard, professional and dedicated working style, Mr. Lam has done lot of large and successful legal advice deals.

Mr Bui Thanh Lam with more than 20 years of experience in the profession

Mr. Lam used to hold a bachelor’s degree in English Literature (LLB) of Hanoi University. In 1998, after completing his bachelor’s program in English, realizing the trend of international integration, Mr. Bui Thanh Lam decided to study at the Faculty of Law (LLB) at Hanoi Law University. With a passion for legal science, Lawyer Bui Thanh Lam continued to complete the Master of Economic Law (LLM) program at Hanoi Law University in 2006 and became a lawyer of the Hanoi Bar Association in 2010.

With excellent foreign language ability and consulting experience, Mr. Lam had more than twenty (20) years of experience working as Director/Deputy Director of Legal  Division/Department at Bao Viet Holdings, Military Bank, Lien Viet Post Bank… and at the same time, undertook the work of a Special  Counsel for DIMAC Law Firm – a large law firm in Vietnam for a period  of six (6) years.

At these corporations, banks and large firms, Mr. Bui Thanh Lam all held Senior Legal positions, responsible for handling complex legal  issues and large transactions. The most recent positions at the time of  Mr. Lam’s founding of BGIlaw were Director, Deputy Director of Legal  Division of MBbank, MSB, Director of Legal – Compliance Department  of Bao Viet Holdings and Special Council of DIMAC Law Firm.

Regarding his forte, Mr. Bui Thanh Lam specializes in consulting and  supporting domestic and foreign businesses, corporations, banks on  matters of business, finance, banking, real estate and especially  consulting on business structure, investment, dispute resolution, mergers  and acquisitions (M&A); strategy consulting and training on governing  documents system/internal documents system; consulting on business, restructuring and training in Business Law in corporate, legislation/internal lawyers.

In addition, in the role of Director/Deputy  Director of Legal-Compliance Devision/Department at large banks and  corporations, Mr. Bui Thanh Lam presided over the development and  completion of document systems as an important part of the process of  building legal and compliance systems for businesses.

Legal advice related to the formation of the Aviation Group (10 companies) and advising on the IPO process of the companies in the Group;

Consulting on the rooftop solar power project/industrial roof in Ho Chi Minh City worth USD 15 million;
